My Path to Cognichip

Before joining Cognichip, I spent over a decade building security programs at companies where data protection was mission-critical. I've seen what happens when security is treated as an afterthought—and I've seen the transformative power of getting it right from the beginning.

When I met Faraj and the founding team, I was struck by their commitment to building security into Cognichip's DNA. This wasn't lip service—it was a core architectural principle.

Our Security Vision

Chip design data is among the most sensitive intellectual property in the world. Our customers trust us with designs worth billions of dollars in R&D investment. That trust is sacred, and we treat it accordingly.

Our security vision rests on three pillars: protect customer data with defense-in-depth, build security into every feature from design through deployment, and maintain transparency with customers about our practices and certifications.

Security Philosophy

We operate on the principle of "secure by default." Every new feature, every API endpoint, every data flow is designed with security as a primary consideration—not a checklist item to address before launch.

This philosophy extends to our development practices. We use automated security scanning in our CI/CD pipelines, conduct regular penetration testing, and maintain a responsible disclosure program for external researchers.

Building the Foundation

In our first year, we achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance—a rigorous certification that validates our security controls across availability, confidentiality, and processing integrity. But certification is just the beginning.

We've built a security architecture that includes end-to-end encryption for all customer data, zero-trust network architecture, comprehensive audit logging, and role-based access controls that follow the principle of least privilege.

Leading Security into the Future
